Originally built by Hutchings, and rebuilt according to the style of the day in the 1970's, this bold organ reflects the best of both its periods and personalities. The building was the parish of St. John the Evangelist on Beacon Hill, just behind the State House, in Boston, Massachusetts. The organ in its original form was distinguished as Everett Titcomb was organist there for many years.
The parish merged with the Cathedral Church of St. Paul on Tremont Street in Boston, and the building is now owned by a developer.
